Western International University has three campuses in the Phoenix, Arizona area. Part of the Sonoran Desert, southern Arizona has an environment unlike any other, boasting diverse and fascinating flora and fauna – and an average of 300+ sunny days a year. Some of the most scenic places on earth are within hours of Phoenix, including the Grand Canyon, Sedona and Lake Powell. The elevation soars from sea level to nearly 1,220 meters, making it a famous destination for hikers, bikers, river rafters and other outdoor enthusiasts.

Phoenix is the capital of Arizona, home to 4.2 million people and one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S. Phoenix and the surrounding area offer numerous cultural and recreational activities, including the performing arts, museums, professional sports and other events.

MUSIC AND CULTURE.

The renowned Phoenix Symphony presents an annual season from September through June, featuring full-length classical and pops concerts and much more. There are many famous museums throughout Arizona including the Arizona Science Center, the Heard Museum (Native American artifacts) and Taliesin West (Architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s winter home and school.)

SPORTS.

Enjoy our famous golf courses or take in a game. Phoenix is one of the few U.S. cities to host five professional major sports teams: men’s and women’s basketball, ice hockey, baseball, and football.

CHANDLER

Chandler is a prominent suburb of the Phoenix, Arizona area, bordered to the north and west by Tempe, to the north by Mesa, and to the west by Phoenix. It also houses satellite locations for many technology companies, including Intel and Orbital Sciences Corporation. The Chandler Campus is located at Arizona Avenue and Chandler Boulevard, near the heart of the city’s Downtown district.
